Accessibility

Effective 18 August 2026

Pharmacy staff use this software all day. It should work with a keyboard, with a screen reader, and at whatever text size someone needs.

What we aim for

We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We have not commissioned a formal third-party audit, so we describe this as our target rather than a certified conformance claim.

What is in place

  • Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
  • A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element.
  • Semantic headings, labelled form controls, and real table headers.
  • Status and error messages announced to assistive technology.
  • Text and interface colours checked for contrast, in both light and dark appearance.
  • Layout reflows to narrow screens and to zoomed text without horizontal scrolling.
  • Controlled-substance schedules shown as text badges, never colour alone, so C-II is never distinguished only by being a different colour.
  • Respects your operating system’s light or dark appearance.

Known limitations

  • The inventory table scrolls horizontally on very narrow screens. The scroll region is keyboard-reachable, but a wide table remains harder to use on a phone.
  • Passkey enrolment depends on your browser and operating system dialogs, which are outside our control. An authenticator app is always available as an alternative.

Tell us

If something blocks you, write to [email protected] and describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We treat access barriers as defects, not enhancements.
